For over 50 years, Barr has supplied energy and mining clients, federal and state agencies, and municipalities with comprehensive dam services, from planning through final design and operation. We handle construction, rehabilitation, and removal of dams, as well as inspections, evaluations, and upgrades—often incorporating sophisticated tools like CFD and finite- and discrete-element analysis, and always emphasizing safety and exceptional service.

Barr’s 1,000+ employee-owners serve clients from 17 offices in the U.S. and Canada. In addition to dams and other large structures, we work on projects involving water management; process engineering; environmental investigation and remediation; permitting and compliance; and sustainability.
